Molecular Resonance Detection

Strata’s technology detects the molecular resonance characteristics of subsurface materials using remotely acquired electromagnetic data. Hydrocarbons, groundwater, and certain minerals exhibit distinct resonance responses derived from molecular composition and physical state.

These responses allow Strata to determine whether a resource is present, laterally continuous, and confined within a defined depth range — independent of seismic imaging, well data, or geological analogs. The result is direct and remote subsurface intelligence designed for early exploration, prospect screening, and capital allocation decisions.

What the Technology Delivers

Strata produces decision-grade subsurface maps that identify:

- Hydrocarbon presence or absence

- Approximate field outline and lateral continuity

- Depth envelopes of prospective intervals

- Structural confinement and trapping indicators

- Low-potential exclusion zones

Outputs are delivered as interpreted maps and supporting technical documentation intended for exploration screening, seismic prioritization, direct-to-drill evaluation, and A&D workflows.Strata does not generate seismic images, logs, or volumetric reserve estimates. Where required, seismic and conventional data are used downstream to refine targets identified by Strata.

Validation & Field Performance

The technology has been validated across multiple basins through post-analysis drilling outcomes, including cases where no prior wells, logs, or seismic data existed at the time of evaluation.

Validation includes alignment between predicted presence, areal extent, structural confinement, and depth envelopes with subsequently drilled results. In groundwater applications, validation includes direct-to-drill successes in previously untested areas.

Operational Characteristics & Workflow Fit

  • Fully remote and deployment-free

  • No field crews, sensors, or permitting

  • Non-invasive and environmentally neutral

  • Typical turnaround: 1–2 weeks

  • Scalable from single prospects to basin-scale portfolios

Strata can be applied prior to, alongside, or independent of seismic and drilling workflows, providing early certainty where traditional methods cannot.
